In the municipality of La Coruña, forming part of the Comarca de Bergantiños, when asked what to see in A Laracha we find the Concello (Town Hall) of A Laracha. Called the Gateway of Costa da Morte, this region combines coastline, rivers and mountainous landscapes which tell us that there is much to see in A Laracha. About the area

It is one of the councils with the most tourists throughout the year, as it contains a series of wonderful beaches to visit and spend an afternoon taking advantage of the great waves it contains to practice some kind of sport.

This Watchtower served so that the inhabitants of Caión could control the passage of whales, since in the past it was an important whaling port.
If you want to know the historical personality of A Laracha, you have to go to Soandres, a place with a very diverse landscape, as it contains a contrast of rivers and mountains.
Soandres has always had a historical role thanks to the famous San Pedro Monastery, which is the most important religious center in Bergantiños.

Villa Caión

It is a beautiful town located by the sea and long ago it was a community that based its economy on whaling. Its picturesque white-walled houses can be admired in the distance. Modern fishermen maintain many religious traditions and pilgrimages. In the month of September many believers join in a special tour, Los Milagros de Caión, through the sanctuaries from Caión to Finisterre.

Carce Vella Beach

While still in the vicinity of Caión, this small urban beach of 60 meters, fine sand and turquoise waters with a calm surf is worth visiting. Nearby there are beach bars, various restaurants and it is quite accessible, even taking the interurban bus service. Very close, forming part of the same coastline, we can find Playa Caión, As Salseiras, Caracoleiro, and A Arnela, which many people group as if they were a single beach.

Entering A Laracha, and just half a kilometer from the town center, we find this natural oasis in which to spend a moment of rest and relaxation for young and old.
Visitors have tables and benches outdoors or covered, there are two parks for children and although the Anllóns River divides the area, there are walkways that allow you to pass from one side to the other. Ganbelle is the ideal place, either as a picnic area or if you are looking for a quiet place to read and enjoy nature.

Visit the Monastery of San Pedro de Soandres

Although few data are had of its foundation, it is estimated that it was close to the 9th century of our era. The foundations of the church that today is open to the public were taken from previous Roman constructions. Today the rectory survives.
